On 20 February 2023, SPSF’s Sincerely Setia Healthcare and Wellbeing Assistance Programme demonstrated its unwavering commitment to supporting underprivileged, disabled, poverty-stricken, and critically ill Malaysians. The event, held at Setia Network Hub @ S P Setia Corporate HQ in Setia Alam, Selangor Darul Ehsan, aimed to address the healthcare needs of vulnerable individuals. Special emphasis was placed on the Hospital Transit programme, with symbolic mock cheques presented to Pusat Perubatan Universiti Malaya (PPUM) and Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz UKM (HCTM) to support selected needy patients and their caregivers. Hospital Shah Alam (HSA) also received 21 units of wheelchairs, highlighting SPSF’s dedication to improving the mobility and well-being of eligible patients.

On July 25, 2023, the SPSF made a significant contribution to the Majlis Sukan Negara (MSN) by providing 20 wheelchairs, which were initially donated by Petronas and previously used at the PPV as part of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK). These wheelchairs are now being repurposed to benefit the community, including paralympic athletes, at the Pusat Kecemerlangan Sukan Paralimpik Kampung Pandan, ensuring a lasting and positive impact. SPSF acted as the conduit, fostering collaboration among all stakeholders to collectively pursue shared objectives and ensure meaningful impacts for the intended beneficiaries.

On 23rd August 2023, SPSF through its Sincerely, Setia Healthcare & Wellbeing Assistance programme, provided basic personal hygiene kits and light food packs to the families of B40 patients staying at the hospital transit centers at Hospital Shah Alam and Hospital Serdang in Selangor.

Launched in 2020, this sub-programme promotes a clean and hygienic school environment and ensures the well-being of students and teachers alike, combating the spread of germs and viruses, especially in the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

This online programme has become a catalyst for change in the teaching landscape. It equips selected teachers with the necessary skills to navigate the intricacies of online teaching and learning methodologies, thus ensuring a seamless transition in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This assistance is to reduce the burden of the B40 families with the school expenses and purchase of school uniforms. Each student received 2 sets of school uniforms, including 2 pairs of shoes and socks worth RM186 per student.
Continuing the momentum, the “Unity in Diversity: Movie & Toy8 Playground Outing” was a follow-up to the previous programme. Organised by SPSF and supported by Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC), the event hosted 90 underserved students (B40) from three SCSP schools in Selangor, including S K Bukit Tampoi (A). The students enjoyed watching the local animated film, Mechamato the Movie, at GSC cinemas in Midvalley Mall—an unforgettable experience for many who had never been to a cinema before. After the movie, they explored fun-filled educational activities at Toy8 Playground.
On 31 January 2023, SPSF donated four refurbished laptops contributed by S P Setia Bhd Group Information & Communication Technology (GICT) to 3 SCSP schools in Selangor. The initiative aims to enhance students’ learning experiences and create a better learning environment.
B40 Students
The Sincerely, Setia Tuition Mission programme for Asnaf Children, held from 20 February to 2 March 2023, marked a pioneering collaboration between SPSF, Pertubuhan Urus Peduli Asnaf KL & Selangor (PUSPA), and Perumahan Kinrara Berhad (PKB). This initiative aimed to bridge the educational gap in the community by providing free tuition classes to children from underserved Asnaf families under the care of PUSPA. The programme encompassed academic subjects such as English, Bahasa Melayu, and Mathematics, along with extracurricular and life-skill activities. SPSF played a vital role in assisting PKB by facilitating the verification process of Asnaf students who were referred by PUSPA for their involvement in the programme.
Spin-off Programme – Sincerely, Setia Ramadan Mubarak with Asnaf Children & Families Inspired by the success of the Tuition Mission programme, SPSF implemented a spin-off programme to provide further support to Asnaf children and their families. The Sincerely, Setia Ramadan Mubarak programme, held on 15 April 2023 at Masjid Al Hidayah, Taman Melawati, aimed to offer assistance and resources during the month of Ramadan. The programme included the distribution of Syawal Gift Baskets (worth RM80), Duit Raya (RM50), Baju Raya Vouchers (RM100), and Klothcares Upcycled Curtains. The contribution is made possible through generous Zakat contribution from Perumahan Kinrara Berhad (PKB) and Team Setia’s donation drive.
Asnaf children and their family members
The Sincerely, Setia Ramadan Mubarak: Financial Literacy Programme with Asnaf was a collaborative initiative between SPSF and strategic partners, including Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS), Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB), Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK), and Perumahan Kinrara Berhad (PKB). The programme aimed to provide essential financial education to 80 Asnaf individuals, including fakir, miskin, and muallaf. This initiative took place on April 14, 2023, with the objective of equipping the Asnaf community with the necessary financial literacy skills. All the Asnaf community also received RM300/pax in zakat contribution from PKB and syawal basket worth RM80/basket. SPSF played a vital role in assisting PKB by facilitating the verification process of eligible Asnaf recipients for their involvement in the programme.

The SCSP stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment of the SPSF towards uplifting underperforming schools and empowering disadvantaged students. Since its inception in April 2015, the programme is specifically designed for students from low-income (B40) families, those with special needs, and those facing adversities, where the SCSP aims to bridge educational gaps and create equal opportunities for all.
Annual Stipend Programme (RM150)
Recognising the financial constraints faced by many B40 families, this programme extends crucial financial aid to students, granting them the means to purchase essential schooling items worth RM150.
Setia Caring School Programme (SCSP): Laptop Handover in Johor and Penang which was held on 19th September and 8th October 2023 respectively is an initiative to provide learning equipment to SCSP students by contributing laptops to the schools whereby SPSF donated 27 refurbished laptops to 6 SCPS schools in Johor and Penang.
On 3rd – 8th October 2023, SPSF orchestrated three impactful initiatives at Setia Fontaines, Penang, in conjunction with Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia 2023 (MSAM 2023).
Jom STEM – GeoTalk with Geological Society of Malaysia (GSM) which brought together the selected students in an exploration of STEM education.

From 28th November till 1st December 2023, SPSF has organised the Sincerely, Setia Tuition Mission in Sabah: Pecutan Akhir SPM at Aeropod by Setia, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The programme thrived through the active participation from Setia Corporate Volunteers of Aeropod by Setia, and Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Sabah. This programme mainly comprises of:
1. Five consecutive days of targeted tuition for four core SPM subjects namely Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Inggeris, Matematik and Sejarah. The students, guided by Guru Cemerlang recommended by Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Sabah, not only gained essential knowledge and skillsets for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination but also received access to quality education, ensuring an equitable learning experience. Additionally, each student received stationery aid, which included essential supplies such as notebooks, pens, and other materials to support their academic journey.
2. Daily morning inspirational talk, featuring insights from Setia Corporate volunteers. The speakers shared practical learning and career advice with the students and ignited their inspiration for a successful future.
3. Motivational session for students and their parents which aims to inspire and empower students while fostering a supportive environment with parental involvement.
The inaugural “Unity in Diversity” programme, organised by SPSF and Yayasan Sukarelawan Siswa (YSS) with support from Jabatan Kemajuan Orang Asli (JAKOA) Sepang, took place in November 2022 at S K Bukit Tampoi (A), a primary school for the Indigenous Community in Dengkil. The programme successfully fostered unity among primary school students from S K Semenyih, SJKC Kg Baru Semenyih, and SJKT Ladang Rinching as well as S K Bukit Tampoi (A). Activities included joint-cultural performances, motivational talks, and collaborative efforts to clean the school grounds, promoting diversity and community engagement.
The Sincerely, Setia Volunteer Weekend with Indigenous Community, held on 18-19 March 2023, was the inaugural community engagement programme initiated by the SPSF in collaboration with Yayasan Sukarelawan Siswa (YSS) and The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM). The event focused on two of the oldest Indigenous villages in Dengkil, Kampung Bukit Tampoi and Kampung Kolam Air Bangkong. The programme involved 58 corporate volunteers from SPSB, IEM, and YSS alumni, along with 20 student volunteers from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and Politeknik Shah Alam. Activities included STEM fun learning, community outreach, cultural activities, and inspirational talks. The event also received support from sponsors like Kloth Cares Malaysia, Dutch Lady Milk Industries, Yeo’s Hiap Seng Ltd, and Neutrovis Malaysia, making it impactful for both the Indigenous Community and the volunteers. SPSF acted as the conduit, fostering collaboration among all stakeholders to collectively pursue shared objectives and ensure meaningful impacts for the intended beneficiaries.

The second Sincerely, Setia Volunteer Weekend (SSVW) programme lfor 2023, targeting the B40 community in Sabah, held from 22nd to 23rd July 2023. This programme is an initiative of the SPSF (SPSF), involving active participation from Setia Corporate Volunteers of Aeropod by Setia and strategic partners such as AsmahKadir Empire (AKE), Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) Sabah Branch and Institut Kemahiran Belia Negara (IKBN) Kinarut. The programme incorporates a total of 9 engaging and impactful activities based on 3 main clusters namely Education, Community and Healthcare. SPSF acted as the conduit, fostering collaboration among all stakeholders to collectively pursue shared objectives and ensure meaningful impacts for the intended beneficiaries.

In collaboration with Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Selangor, SPSF provided emergency relief assistance to B40 students from six non-SCSP schools in the state.
A total of 969 children from B40 families in schools including SK Pulau Indah, SK Sungai Lui, SK Taman Sri Muda, SK Taman Sri Muda 2, SK Padang Jawa, and SK Seksyen 24 received two sets of school uniforms and one school bag each.

In conjunction with the Christmas festivity, SPSF has organised the Sincerely, Setia Christmas Gift Basket programme on 2nd December 2023, which comprises of two core components:
1. Contribution to Grace Old Folks Home Care Centre in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, which involves:
• Distribution of Christmas Gift Baskets to all 24 elderly residents at the shelter, spreading joy and warmth during the festive season. • Decorating the house with Christmas decorations which added merriment to the festive celebration. • Undertaking house upgrades, including fixing and installing curtain railings, as well as replacing and acquiring new curtains. • A musical performance Setia Corporate Volunteers from Aeropod by Setia to further enrich the festive celebration.
2. Contribution to Hospital Wanita dan Kanak-Kanak Sabah in Likas:
• Distribution of “Fun pack” which consists of toys, snacks and Christmas accessories to paediatric patients, bringing a touch of cheer to their hospital stay. • Distribution of sanitary pack to the parents of the children undergoing treatment in the hospital, at the same time extending support and care during their challenging times.

In celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, SPSF continues its unwavering support by gifting food hampers (worth RM120) to 270 students from B40 families irrespective of their ethnic backgrounds.

On 2 February 2023, the Sincerely, Setia CNY Gift Basket programme was held at Joy Garden Old Folks’ Home, Semenyih, Selangor.
It featured a Health & Well-being talk led by physiotherapist Mr. Eman Yazid, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azura Mansor conducted stretching techniques to promote physical well-being.
Additionally, SPSF collaborated with Lovely Disabled Home and Listen Up Sdn Bhd to include their products in the gift baskets containing towels, personal care items and dry food items.
This collaboration showcases the spirit of unity and partnership in creating a meaningful impact within the community.

On 10 February 2023, SPSF organised the Chinese New Year Gift Basket Programme at Kelang Chik Sin Thong Old Folk’s Home.
The initiative was made possible through the collective contributions of Group Human Resources, Group Internal Audit, and Group Legal of SPSB, reflecting the spirit of unity and collaboration within the organization to bring joy and warmth to the residents’ hearts during the auspicious occasion. The residents received gift baskets and money packets.
On 29 March 2023, Setia Fontaines and SPSF organised an Iftar programme called ‘Sincerely, Setia Sharing Grace of Ramadan’ at the Setia Experience Centre in Kepala Batas, Penang, in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan.
SPSF team were entrusted to identify eligible orphanages and school children for the iftar programme.
The event aimed to make a positive impact on the lives of 80 orphans and underserved school children and foster community engagement as part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
These children were celebrated for iftar and each of them received zakat contribution from Syarikat Perumahan Pegawai Kerajaan (SPPK) in the form of baju raya, telekung/kain pelikat and duit raya RM50/pax and water bottle from Setia Fontaines.
SPSF played a vital role in assisting SPPK by facilitating the verification process of eligible orphans and students for their involvement in the programme.

The Sincerely, Setia Syawal Programme at Pusat Jagaan Warga Emas Nur Ehsan Wanita was conducted on 18 and 24 May 2023, aimed to celebrate the 42 elderly and people with disabilities residing there while addressing their specific needs.
Conducted in two phases, the initiative involved facility maintenance and physiotherapy sessions, volunteer-resident engagement, and provision of essential supplies.
The programme achieved its objectives of improving the well-being of the residents and fostering partnerships for sustainable development.

In conjunction with Hari Raya Celebration, Amari SPICE & SPSF co-hosted a CSR slot during Amari Raya Open House event on 19 May 2023, where children from 2 orphanages, Persatuan Anak Yatim Balik Pulau & Wisma Yatim Pulau Pinang (Perempuan) were invited to join the celebration.
They were all given with Duit Raya packets of RM50 each, via zakat fund contribution by Perumahan Kinrara Berhad (PKB).

Continuing the commitment of supporting the needy which was portrayed in the earlier Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia 2023, the SPSF in collaboration with Ella Rock Queen Team has organised a programme at Pusat Jagaan Darul Hanan, Penang on 29th October 2023.
The Setia Corporate Volunteers from the Northern region actively participated, intertwining with residents through curated activities designed to bring boundless joy to their lives.

• Sincerely Setia Healthcare & Wellbeing Assistance Programme: Wheelchair Donation. Through this programme, S P Setia Foundation contributed 30 wheelchairs to the disabled individuals in need through selected NGOs in Penang.
OKU children
The SPSF proudly organised the Sincerely, Setia Deepavali Gift Basket initiative at Pertubuhan Perkhidmatan Sosial dan Pembangunan Komuniti (PSPK) Daerah Gombak on 24th November 2023, with a mission to extend joy to 35 elderly residents of the shelter by distributing thoughtfully curated Deepavali Gift Baskets consisting of personal hygiene kits and blankets.
Additionally, in a symbolic gesture, the Foundation presented 3,000 pots of NFT hydroponics systems, fostering a spirit of growth and well-being within the community.
In honour of International Children’s Day, the SPSF proudly launches the Sincerely, Setia Children’s Day Celebration @ Pusat Perubatan Universiti Malaya (PPUM) on 17th November 2023. This comprehensive program comprises three impactful initiatives:
1. Setia Reading Corner Project @ Paediatrics Building, PPUM A spin-off from the Sincerely, Setia Healthcare & Wellbeing Assistance programme, this initiative focuses on enhancing the experience for patients and parents at PPUM’s Paediatric clinic by establishing a comfortable reading space.
2. Contribution to Sekolah Dalam Hospital As part of S P Setia Foundation’s commitment, the Foundation generously provided Sekolah Dalam Hospital with four CPU units for educational purposes, contributing to the advancement of learning within the hospital setting.
3. PPUM Garden’s Rejuvenation Teaming up with the Setia Landscape team, the SPSF embarked on a transformative project to rejuvenate PPUM’s Garden, turning it into a vibrant and Children-Friendly Garden.
